SECTION FOUR - Replying, forwarding and deleting messages

After you have finished reading your message, look for the Reply button and click once on it.

This is what you will see: -

Notice two things!

  1. The address has already been put in for you
  2. The message you wrote appears in the message part of the form along with various bits of technical jargon which you can ignore

All you have to do now is: -

  1. Click your mouse below your message
  2. Type in your reply
  3. Click the Send Now button.

Here are three more useful tips…

Once you have sent your reply, you automatically go back to your mail page. Take a look at your message line at the top of the page.

If you click in the check box under Select, you can then use the two buttons underneath – Del Sel Items or Fwd Sel Items.

If you click on Del Sel Items, you will delete your selected message.

If you click on Fwd Sel Items, you can forward the selected message to another person. This is often useful if you want another person to see what has been sent to you.

This is what you will see if you decide to forward a message.

Type in the address of the person you want to forward the message to in the To box. Notice the Subject box has From Message written in it – that shows the original message is attached. To write a note to the recipient, click in the Added Note box and type what you want to say. Then click Send Now.

Now that you know how to delete messages in your Inbox, you might also like to know you could delete them from your Sent List in just the same way.

All deleted items go into the Trash and will stay there until you permanently delete them. To do this, click on the Trash button.

This is what you will see…

You can either click once on the Select box for an individual message or click the Select All Messages check box and then click Empty Trash. That’s it – they are gone!

If you would like to know what else you could do, go on to the next section of the tutorial.
