Ruth Reed - CRC Development Officer

Ruth Reed is the Community Resource Centres Development Officer for Community First in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Based in Malvern, she has been in the present post since 1991, when the network of centres was taken over from the County Council.

Before working for Community First, and following a language degree at Hull University, Ruth worked in education. As well as lecturing in French and Italian for twelve years, she was a parish councillor and a member of her local village hall committee for eight years, chairing the latter for the final year. She chaired and produced a village appraisal, ran an annual village revue for ten years, and was responsible for many fund-raising events.

In 1998 Ruth took the CRC Network to Brussels to the European Telework Awards, where it was voted runner-up in the category 'Best Contribution to European Sustainability'.

Jacquie Nuttall - CRC Support Officer

Jacqueline Nuttall, also based in Malvern, has been in post as the Community Resource Centres Support Officer since May 2001. She has spent the past year travelling across the CRCNetwork, establishing good working relationships with the volunteers whose hardwork keeps the network running and growing.

Before joining Community First and following a degree in Literature & Philosophy, Jacquie spent several years working in Canada. Her family in Canada operate a Graphic Design company where she trained in DTP and design work. She also worked with a network of government Language Assessment Centres operating in both urban and rural areas. Jacquie has a strong background in ICT and offers advice and guidance in a variety of areas for the CRC's.
